The mission of Sustainable Caucasus is to facilitate cooperation and coordination for sustainable development of the Caucasus mountain region. Its objectives are:
to foster sustainable development in the Caucasus mountain region; and
to elaborate regional approaches to transboundary problems at national and local levels.

The Mountains ADAPT: Solutions from the South Caucasus booklet showcases adaptation solutions proven to be successful in response to specific issues caused, or accelerated by, climate change that negatively affect mountain communities’ livelihoods and ecosystems. The publication covers Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.

The project “Strengthening adaptation capacities for communities close to the protected areas of Khosrov Forest State reserve and Dilijan National Park” is ongoing initiation to strengthen the communities' availability to adapt to climate change in Armenia. The project is financed by the Adaptation Fund and the implementer body is the Environmental Project Implementation Unit of the State Agency of the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia (EPIU).

The projects "Integrated Erosion Control" (IEC) and "Integrated Biodiversity Management, South Caucasus" (IbiS) piloted measures in Tusheti, Georgia to create infrastructure for effective pasture management. Friends Association of Tusheti Protected Areas (FATPA) and Tusheti Protected Landscape Administration (TPLA) were local partners and involved during the implementation process.

Women in bees-ness was implemented in Ambrolauri municipality, Georgia from 2015 to 2016. The main objective of the solution was to strengthen the community, especially women affected by natural disasters in remote mountainous area, and to support the local municipality to adopt the Climate Change Adaptation Plan.
