Inspired by „The Last Ascent“ - a film about Will Gadd's journey to Kilimanjaro, the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) organizes this Mountains High online session on International Mountain Day on 11 December 2020.

Join an inspiring conversation that brings together outdoor and nature enthusiasts with experts from the UN and science to discuss the effects of climate change on mountains and the power of sports for climate action.

The event offers a platform to showcase the beauty and fragility of mountain ecosystems, the effects of climate change and the urgent need for action. It highlights activities from the Adaptation at Altitude programme.
