Adaptation at Altitude is a collaborative programme launched and co-supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). Mountain Research Initiative (MRI)
MRI is an international network that envisions a world in which research to understand global change challenges and opportunities in mountains is conducted across borders and disciplines, with and for society, in order to generate knowledge that enables decisions, actions, and transformations towards sustainable development.
Focus in the programme: Strengthening GEO Mountains.
Consorcio para el Desarollo Sostenible de la Ecoregión Andina (CONDESAN)
CONDESAN is a non-governmental organization based in Ecuador and Peru, working for the conservation of mountain ecosystems and for the well-being of rural communities in the Andean region.
Focus in the programme: Science-policy dialogue and sharing of experience in the Andes.
International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD)
ICIMOD is an intergovernmental knowledge and learning centre working on behalf of the people of the Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH). It is based in Kathmandu, Nepal and works in and for eight regional member countries – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan.
Focus in the programme: Science-policy dialogue and sharing of experience in the Hindu Kush Himalaya.
United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)
UNEP is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system, and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment.
Focus in the programme: Science-policy dialogue and sharing of experience in East Africa & South Caucasus, and inter-regional collaboration.
Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI)
SEI is an international non-profit research and policy organization that tackles environment and development challenges.
Focus in the programme: Community of practice on climate change adaptation opportunities in mountains.
University of Geneva
Founded in 1559, the University of Geneva is dedicated to teaching, research and dialogue with society. With more than 17’000 students of some 150 different nationalities, it is Switzerland’s second largest university.
Focus in the programme: Knowledge on climate change adaptation opportunities in mountains.

Zoï is a Swiss non-profit organization that provides analysis and training,policy dialogue and communication services to governments, international organizations and NGOs.
