About the Event

The Africa Regional Mountains Forum (ARMF), hosted by the Albertine Rift Conservation Society (ARCOS), in collaboration with the UN Environment Programme and the East African Community Secretariat, is delighted to invite to the virtual celebration of International Mountain Day.

The event focusses on biodiversity in East Africa’s mountains as natural capital. It also features the launch of the Adaptation at Altitude: Taking Action in Mountains programme in the region. Together with representatives from the ARMF and East African Community, regional mountain stakeholders have the chance to learn about and discuss climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation and sustainable mountain development.
