Cynthia Wamukota

Cynthia is a highly skilled urban planner with expertise in urban development, urban governance, and public policy. She applies evidence-based approaches and innovative urban planning methodologies to create inclusive land use plans, strongly focusing on sustainable city development and climate-smart cities. Her land use planning, urban development and policy analysis proficiency enable her to develop practical and forward-thinking planning proposals. She is committed to developing and implementing plans and policies that champion for development of sustainable cities and communities. Cynthia has worked in the Urban Planning sector in Kenya, where she contributed to developing GIS-Based County Spatial plans, Local Physical and Land use Development plans, Masterplans, Zoning Standards and Regulations and Development Control tools. She has a master’s in public policy degree from University of Oxford, with interests in Urban Policies, Climate policies, Impact evaluations and Disaster Risk Reduction. She also holds an MSc. in Sustainable Urban Development, and a B.A degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Nairobi.
