REMODA

Rwenzori Mountains Development Association is a non-governmental organisation founded in 1998 by community developers to uplift the living conditions of rural and urban poor communities in the Rwenzori region, Uganda. REMODA has a vision of creating a free society that is able to initiate and sustain socio-economic development within the region. This region has experienced poverty for a long time despite the mineral deposits and the rich natural heritage found in the region.

It aims at empowering local communities in sustainable development through small-scale tourism and handcraft enterprises, also known as community tourism with local communities and local stakeholders.
